SPOTLIGHT Sunday

I'd like to put the SPOTLIGHT on a blog or two that I have taken note of and think you will be interested in.

These blogs certainly don't need my help to get noticed but sometimes it's nice to be in the SPOTLIGHT!

Tonight I'd like to SPOTLIGHT...

Jill has some great ways to integrate art into the curriculum. She shares some pics of how she has used ideas from other bloggers. She also has some good place value and 1 more, 1 less, 10 more, 10 less ideas that she is using with her students. I use the math tiles to find missing numbers but haven't used them for those concepts yet. She has lots of other GREAT ideas to share!
I'd also like to SPOTLIGHT...

Jessica has a GREAT way for students to review and demonstrate their knowledge of figurative language. She shares a "Pinterest" inspired booklet and pics of her students work and how GREAT they turned out.

Finally, I am putting the SPOTLIGHT on...

Hadar is showcasing teaching tips in a Linky Party that you won't want to miss out on. Be sure to check it out!

Click on over and visit my SPOTLIGHTed blogs and tell them that Kathy sent you! If they like, they can pick up my SPOTLIGHT Sunday button above.
I would also like to say THANKS to Veterans near and far and THANK them for their service to our country!

I have some Veteran's Day activities you might want to include in your plans this week.
Here's a secret math message...
and some vocabulary activities...

Click on the pics above to grab your own copies. ENJOY!

Have a WONDERFUL week!

Once again - Thank you for some awesome activities for Veterans Day. This will be great for tomorrow. I was able to download the first few, but am unable to access the last two. Not sure what's going on....I'll try again later.

Hi Kathy! Can you recommend the best software to create teacher materials? I explored a few but they are not as user friendly as I hoped.
Sorry but I removed last comment bc I forgot my question mark...

Thanks!

I was denied access to the last two items. I hope it wasn't something that I said! ;)

Hi, Kathy! Thank you for the amazing freebies (as usual)!
I noticed that on the 2nd row, 3rd column of your math message freebie, it reads 12-=; are we to assume that we are subtracting nothing from 12 or was that a typo? Thanks again!!!

I don't know what happened to that 0 in the secret math message! It has been fixed in the download but I did not change out the picture.

You will want to download that again.

THANKS!

Zerly...I know a lot of people use Powerpoint and say it is easy to manipulate. I use Publisher to create all my things. It is easy for me to do what I want and have always used it.

Thanks Kathy! I began using Publisher & I picked it up quicker than I thought! I never thought of using Powerpoint though & will give it a try. I appreciate the info! :)
