What Are Pirates Afraid of?

That's just one of the riddles from my Pirate Riddles set.

I created several thematic riddle sets for students to practice their basic addition and subtraction facts in order to solve the riddle. I also made one to practice time to the hour and half hour. Each set includes 10 activities with answer keys.

Who Doesn't LOVE...

Mrs. Wishy-Washy!

I just added these books to my book baskets for my first graders. 

These books are part of two new collections of readers for K-2, The Joy Cowley Collection and Joy Cowley Early Birds. These collections of leveled readers will be GREAT for guided and independent reading during reading workshop.

My favorite is Wishy-Washy Clothes! Mrs. Wishy-Washy hangs out her clothes to dry.  Her animal friends come along and try them on to be like Mrs. Wishy-Washy. What fun!

As with all of Joy Cowley's Mrs. Wishy-Washy, it is filled with rhyme and repetition which is always fun for our young readers.

They are SUPER easy to use with your students because there are explicit lesson plans inside the back cover with activities for before, during, and after reading.
