Hmmm....

First  of all, I want to say that I love TEACHING and BLOGGING!!  I started it a couple of months ago because I thought I had something to share with other teachers and their students. Today I became a little, maybe more than a little, disheartened after seeing something that was not totally unique for someone and that they are selling it.  Good luck to them...I no longer am a follower.

I am sorry this happened! I hope we will still see you blog and post things. I'm not trying to make light of it, but this is one of the reasons I am rarely posting any units. I'd hate to post something that belongs to someone else.

THANKS Beth....I will continue to create and post. Something wasn't copied, just created a little too close for comfort for me.

Aww, Kathy! That's awful. This is the one thing I always try to think of when I'm creating and posting stuff. I would hate to take someone else's ideas and then have the audacity to try to make money off of them. :( I, too, hope you continue to blog because your games and ideas are AWESOME!

Sorry to hear that! I think your games and posts are awesome. Some people always spoil things for others.

I'm so sorry to hear that Kathy! I just LOVE LOVE all the activities you post. I pray that this doesn't keep you from continuing to put out your awesome materials. I've told both my first grade team members about your wonderful blog and they love it too.

I think there is a lot of that that goes on. Your stuff is amazing and you are so sweet to share! I know exactly what you are talking about because I thought it WAS yours at first!

I never understood why people do that. I mean give credit where credit is due. I have no problem borrowing ideas and sharing mine. There is no way a good teacher can do it all on her own and still have a minute to herself.
I hope you continue to share because you truly inspire many of us.

That's why I am worried about selling items I make. It's so hard to be original and creative when there are so many awesome ideas floating around. I would hate for someone to be upset with me. I love your ideas. I hope you'll keep posting them.

I completely agree with Busy Bee, but wasn't sure how to word it (well done)! I definitely love the products YOU create and so do my students! Your comprehension questions are wonderful and my kiddos love playing the games! Like other posters, I hope this doesn't spoil blogging/sharing for you!!

I saw that too, and thought it looked a lot like one of your creations. Please continue sharing your ideas. I was looking through my binder of games for summer school today and realized that around 90% of my games comes from you. Thanks for helping me (and everyone here) be a better teacher!

Thank you for sharing your wonderful games! I homeschooled last year and used many of your games. This year we are going back to public school and your games are great to help "practice" concepts at home. Thank you for sharing!

This is likely not the best post for my comment, but I just found your site and as a stay at home mom with a first grader about to start her summer vacation I am thrilled to find your resources! I can't wait to play the games you have and do the other activities as we try and stay busy this summer and learn at the same time. You are very creative and I hope that your recent incident will make you lose spirit. Consider me a faithful follower from now on!

I hear your disappointment. Do you think it's possible that someone else created something similar without seeing your version? Perhaps its a coincidence?

Kathy, I didn't see the item in question, but really encourage you and any of your followers to email the teacher in question. Either she doesn't understand that she really did steal from you or she doesn't care. If she doesn't understand, let's educate her. If she doesn't care then that is really, really sad. I am hoping that someone has emailed her to let her know that this isn't okay with the rest of us. If it's through TPT, please contact them and let them know. I know this is hard, but maybe it can become a chance for this teacher to learn. That's my hope!

Meanwhile ... please keep up the good work! We all love you and appreciate all of your gifts to the rest of us!!!
