We've been working through these sorts to distinguish between short and long vowels.
We use a large piece of manila paper to create their own t-chart. Students begin by making a hamburger fold. Then they fold the top down like a puppet. They open up the paper to see the invisible lines that the folds made in the paper. They use a dark colored crayon to draw their own straight lines on the chart. They label the top of the chart with the titles at the top of the paper that I give them with pictures.

Thanks so much! I am going to use this tomorrow during Daily 5! I just showed your games I purchased during your BOGO sale to my first grade team today. Hopefully that will generate some more sales.

Crayons and Curls
These are great! Thanks for sharing.
Oh, by the way, I used your Orange Pumpkin Orange Pumpkin book. It worked great for my sub a couple of weeks ago. The kids said they loved making them, and the books turned out really cute. Plus, it took them almost an hour to complete (perfect for sub plans!).
Thanks!
